According to the blog Wine Folly, wine aerators help wine taste better—especially red wine. “An aerator’s job is to introduce oxygen to wine that’s been stored in a low-oxygen environment—a wine bottle,” according to the blog. “Aerating causes alcohol molecules to be released into the air and these airborne molecules carry wine’s flavors into your nose. Decanting or aerating wines also ‘blow off’ foul smells like that weird sulfur smell.”

One such aerator is the Tempour wine gadget. Not only is the Tempour an aerator, it is also a filter, chiller, and pourer. This 4-in-1 tool will get your wine tasting better without the need for various tools. The filter helps keep the wine sediment out of the glass and the pourer keeps the wine from spilling when served. The chiller keeps the wine chilled from the inside-out, with a metal rod that won’t dilute the wine. Of all, the gadget also seals the bottle.

Get the Tempour from Firebox for about $66.

Another aerator on the market is the Bendy Wine Aerator from Fred. For a bit of fun, the Bendy will add oxygen to the wine as it is being poured through the bendy straw. This aerator is $18.99 from High Fashion Home.
